Meet the designers
A husband & Wife Team
Our inspiration is drawn from site-specific qualities such as existing plant palates, topography, lighting and associate architecture. We experiment with materials and details, ultimately leading to an environment that is both sustainable and purposeful.
Matthew gatewood
Nature lover from birth, Matthew started exploring caves in Central Texas with his father at age 5. These experiences lead to a deep connection to the earth and a responsibility to care for it. He is on a mission to use less water and develop drought tolerant landscapes.
He has a love for all plants, but has focused the last 10 years on developing his own drought tolerant and responsible plant list specific to the Central Texas Area.
His passion for designing and transforming outdoor spaces stems from his inherent desire to be creative. Matthew enjoys creating designs unique to his clients’ property that enhance the homeowner’s experience with nature and their own home.
CHLOE GATEWOOD
Chloe Gatewood has had a passion for design for as long as she can remember. She grew up in her family’s fine dining restaurant, Jeffrey’s, in Austin and worked there as a manager. Her favorite time of the evening was when she could set out the flowers, dim the lights and turn on the jazz. She knew the importance of creating the environment where people wanted to gather. Chloe has been working professionally in design the last 3 years, which partners well with her career in Real Estate.
She now lives in Wimberley with her family. You can spot her around town or in Round Top searching for that special and unique piece to complete her client’s home. Chloe truly enjoys what she does, and she loves seeing her clients’ homes transformed and for them to enjoy their newly created spaces.
